Braids

Braids add texture, style, and personality to every mum and garter — and no two are ever exactly the same! I offer a wide variety of braid styles, from flat to dimensional, with plenty of ways to customize through color choices, layering, bling, and patterns. Some braids are great for adding cutouts (I’ll note that in the description!), and if there's a specific braid you're hoping for that you don't see here, just ask — I’m always happy to learn something new to make your mum truly one of a kind.

Braids can be purchased individually for a mum you are making yourself or they can be purchased to add to a mum I am making for you!

Bubblegum Braid $18

This is a classic but there are a ton of ways to make it fun!

Spirit Chain-

2 colors $8

Another classic. Again you can get some fun variations by layering ribbons!

Single Military Braid $10

I'm pretty sure I had this one on my homecoming mum! This works well for two or four colors.

Double Military Braid $20

Now we are getting fancy- and big! This is a really good dimensional braid to add some depth to your mum or garter.

Twined Military Braid $25

Another big one. If you are looking to make your mum look full, this is a good one!

Texas (or Champion) Braid $12

Usually this is made with two or three colors. It's another great flat braid that I like to use for layering.

Victory Braid $15

I will admit that I have a favorite, and it's this one. It's just so pretty!

Zig-Zag braid $18

A little twist on the Victory. Just to keep me from adding exactly the same braid to all my mums!

Harlequin 6- $22

Harlequin 8- $24

If you want a cool diamond pattern, this is your choice. I have done this with 6 weaving ribbons and with 8. Can we go bigger than 8 ribbons? I am a little scared to try.

This can be added to a mum like other braids, but I use it most often use it as a swag under the flower.

Southern Knot $12

I like this because it's great for adding dimension but it is not super wide, so it works well on a variety of mums.

Pinched Bow Braid $12

I'm pretty sure this has a different name. I just don't know what it is. It's pretty though!

Flower Cascade $35

You don't have to have anything on the flowers, but they offer a great place to put Class of 2025 in a special spot!

Bell Cascade $10

For some reason when we attach a few like items to a ribbon, we call it a cascade. I like it. Sounds Fancy.

Triple Loops $18-$25

This is probably the one that is most fun for me to make. It adds nice volume to your mum or garter and sometimes I get to use fancy ribbon. $18 is for an all acetate version, while $25 is for the version with lots of fancy pretties!

Twisted Loops $25

This is a unique braid that will turn some heads!

Ruffle Braid $15

One color? Two colors? You decide! If you want a sweet vibe for your mum, this is your braid!

Candy Braid $12

It looks like that old hard candy, right?

Criss Cross $12

Simple but super cool, this adds great dimension because you can see stuff behind it!

Double Loop Letter Chains $15

This is what I use to spell out HOMECOMING, and sometimes I put names on these too!

Quilled & Scrolled designs

Hearts, Teardrops, butterflies, all on parade with these ribbon-backed designs!

Faux Bow Braid $12

This one is another that is great for adding some volume. Beautiful, unique and very classy!

Flower Power Chain $20

Only get this one if you have a big mum! This is four inches across and takes up a lot of real estate, but it's gorgeous on the big, elaborate mums! This is a chain and does not have a ribbon on the back.
